ROLE OVERVIEW:

We're looking for someone to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to support The Sims franchise.  The Sims is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment with close to 25 years of innovation, passion and creative storytelling and is one of the top selling PC game franchises of all time.

As the Finance Planning and Analysis Manager, you will report into the Director of FP&A and have the unique opportunity to be a collaborative partner to the studio leadership & publishing teams responsible for The Sims franchise.  You will partner with leaders from across the organization, managing revenue across live services and full games while connecting go-to-market planning with our development strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and validate the revenue financial forecast for The Sims

  • Manage revenue performance against risks & opportunities.  Provide Weekly Revenue updates to FP&A and studio leadership

  • Understand business & product assumptions for live services and new product investments

  • Collaborate with brand marketing leadership to manage franchise campaign budgets

  • Provide financial analysis focused on optimizing revenue and evaluating commercial ROI of marketing spend.  Evaluate regional opportunities and monitor performance of investments

  • Conduct business reviews for leaders focused on the story with clear insights

  • Review financial terms and conditions of contracts, ensuring alignment with franchise goals and our compliance standards

  • Help develop long-term strategies in collaboration with franchise leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum 5 years financial experience (FP&A)

  • Proficiency in revenue accounting and general GAAP knowledge

  • Expert Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint knowledge

  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau or similar BI dashboard visualization tool

  • Experience with financial forecasting tools (Anaplan)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $89,300 - $123,000 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $103,200 - $145,600 USD
Benefits Language

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
