The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more. The Challenge Ahead

As a Software Engineer II on D&I's Experimentation Team, you will help build the EA-central online Experimentation live service and enable the LiveCycle Management (LCM) platform. You will report to the Technical Director.


Responsibilities:

  • You will extract and process massive data from 20+ game studios and use insights to serve massive online requests.
  • You will develop analytics systems (batch and real-time processing pipelines) that inform on important metrics, detect anomalies, and forecast future results.
  • You will analyze raw data to diagnose and debug issues, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • You will implement statistical algorithms to promote the value of LCM platform, by providing in-depth data insights into players’ engagement with content across live channels.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development for data intensive systems
  • Hands-on experience with Experimentation and ability to explain complex statistical mechanisms to diverse customers
  • Expertise in Python, Java, and SQL
  • Experience Data Lakehouse solutions, like Snowflake, Trino, Redshift, or Spark
  • Experience with distributed data processing, data modelling, and software engineering of data services
