The Challenge Ahead
Playdemic - Acquired by EA in 2021, Playdemic is home to the top 10 grossing, BAFTA-winning mobile smash – Golf Clash. Having opened at the beginning of 2020, our award-winning, bespoke studio space offers conventional desk space as well as indulgent breakout areas, meeting rooms and alternative workspaces. The office has been ridgeline-designed to create an environment that encourages and allows our team to do their very best work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the UI team with creation of stylised assets for new and existing features
- Assist concepting of features via the creation of wireframes
- Assist in maintaining the overall visual style of Live Op content
Qualifications:
- You are currently studying at a university/vocational school that has a planned internship period (not a graduate).
- You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2025.
- You are located and eligible to work in Manchester, UK without the need for visa/relocation support
Desired Skills:
- An interest in mobile games, and understanding of the free to play genre
- A strong work ethic to keep up with the pace of live game development
- A keen eye for detail, and passion to deliver high quality artwork
- A basic / intermediate understanding of user interface design
- Strong communication skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $60,000 - $65,000 CAD
* Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs) * $21 - $30 USD
* Jersey City, NJ * $23 - $37 USD
* New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo) * $23 - $37 USD
* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) * $25 - $34 USD
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
