Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Hyderabad

Introduction to EA & India Centre: Electronic Arts Inc. is a global interactive entertainment software company. EA develops interactive software worldwide for video game systems, personal computers, wireless devices, and the Internet.

You will report to Senior Manager, Engineering

The EA Digital Platform (EADP) organisation powers the global EA ecosystem. We provide the foundation for all of EA’s incredible games and player experiences with high-level platforms like Cloud, Commerce, Data and AI, Gameplay Services, Identity and Social.

For this role, you will report to an Engineering Manager and get exposed to many technologies. You’ll work as part of a team, engaged with different EADP service teams and game teams around the globe to provide outstanding innovation and performance for our upcoming top games.

Responsibilities:

●      You will develop dynamic, responsive, and resilient systems using Java and Scala, ensuring and new ideas for our games.

●      You will collaborate with team members gather requirements, and contribute to technical design documents, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

●      Employ to navigate iteratively changing requirements during the development process.

●      Design moderately complex systems and features end-to-end.

●      Work in partnership with service teams and game development teams to identify solutions and workflow enhancements.

●      Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of automated testing across a distributed service stack, ensuring reliability and quality.

●      Provide support to us for manage and resolve integration issues and live incidents, ensuring a smooth operations and game experiences.

Qualifications:

●      Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, showcasing a foundation in software engineering principles.

●      3+ years of industry experience

●      Exposure to a variety of programming paradigms, including both imperative and functional programming languages, demonstrating versatility and a Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge.

 

●      Experience with Java, Scala, Kotlin, JavaScript/Node, Clojure

●      Within a team in an Agile and iterative development environment, showcasing adaptability and collaborative skills.

●      You are someone with a passion for gaming and technology, stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments and grow within the field of software engineering.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
